Stage I — Controlled Break-In

Stage I is a controlled RC nitro engine break-in service designed to properly establish piston-and-sleeve fit while progressively preparing the engine for normal operation.

The process begins with an oil-bath break-in stage, allowing the piston and sleeve to begin mating under controlled, highly lubricated conditions before the engine is subjected to normal combustion and operating loads. This provides a gradual transition into the second stage of the break-in process.

Following the oil-bath stage, the engine is run using our controlled conventional break-in process, with operating temperature, mixture, and engine behavior carefully monitored as the piston and sleeve continue to seat under normal running conditions.

Once complete, the engine is returned with a safe baseline tune, ready for gradual leaning and final adjustment based on your fuel, glow plug, exhaust system, weather, gearing, and vehicle load.
